International Poultry Expo
Tucker, Ga. - January 22, 2023
International Production & Processing Expo attendees and exhibitors –
We look forward to welcoming you to Atlanta this week for another incredible year of IPPE in our city.
Over the weekend, we experienced vandalism Downtown during a protest. Atlanta has long been a city built on peaceful demonstrations, and this isolated incident does not reflect those standards. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum each denounced these actions and reinforced their commitment to the safety and well-being of everyone in our city.
Our hospitality community will continue to work closely with Atlanta Police Department (APD), City of Atlanta, Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) Public Safety, Downtown Ambassador Force, Georgia State University Police, MARTA Police and United States Department of Homeland Security to keep visitors safe. These authorities are monitoring activity throughout the city.
Our Downtown Ambassador Force will have an increased presence during IPPE. This group enhances the public safety environment by adding additional patrols on the streets and in common areas throughout Downtown. If attendees need assistance during the expo, please call the Ambassador Force at 404.215.9600 or send a text to 404.732.4200. This number is monitored daily from 7 a.m. to midnight.
We look forward to hosting a safe event this week and want to assure you that public safety officials throughout Atlanta and the state of Georgia are committed to the security of our visitors.
