“Poultry Protein – We Can’t Live Without It,” 2026 Latin American Poultry Summit Session Topics Announced
The highly anticipated 2026 Latin American Poultry Summit is set to bring together leading voices from across the Americas to explore the future of poultry production, innovation and sustainability. With a full day of expert sessions, global perspectives and networking opportunities, attendees can expect a dynamic program focused on driving progress and strengthening collaboration within the industry.
The event will take place on Monday, Jan. 26, and will open with a presentation of research projects by the Latin American Poultry Association (ALA), setting the tone for a day that combines science, strategy and shared expertise. The Summit is presented by the International Poultry Expo, part of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), and ALA.
A highlight of the morning is the CEO roundtable on the “Future and Direction of Egg Producing Companies,” featuring influential leaders from across Latin America, including Lorenzo Martín, director of El Gran Chaparral; Ismelon Moreira, chief financial officer of Global Eggs; and Juan Felipe Montoya, president of Huevos Kikes and World Egg Organization president and director; with the session moderated by Mauricio Sanabria, sales and technical manager, Latin America and Canada for Hy-Line International. This session will explore global trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the egg industry today.
Dr. Servio Palacios, professor, computer scientist and leader of Zamorano/Mayan Mind, will then discuss how artificial intelligence and smart technologies are transforming poultry production. Following this, Dr. David Vargas, quality assurance and food safety data analytics manager with Wayne-Sanderson Farms, will share insights on using data-driven tools to turn information into strategic business decisions.
The afternoon sessions will address key technical and practical challenges in the field, including:
